The following is a map server for the Ivano Frankivska Oblast in Ukraine. The scale of the map is such that each JPEG map unit (i.e. map coordinate unit) represents a 20 km by 20 km area where the individual grids are spaced 4 km apart. Each JPEG map unit is 591 pixels high and 591 pixels wide. With the previously described scale, a square km is represented by a square of 29.55 pixels by 29.55 pixels. The contour interval is defined as 20 metres.
To obtain a topographical map, just choose the region of interest and click. A topographical map will be made available for your viewing pleasure at an enhanced resolution. An alternate retrieval method would be to check out the desired map coordinate from the in-line map image and click on the appropriate map coordinate from the list below the in-line map image.
Please note that the geographical names are still in Russian and not Ukrainian due to the Russo-centric Former Soviet Union and we apologize for any confusion this may cause.
The following table provides a clickable option to retrieve the individual map coordinate images. Note each image is in JPEG image format and the average file size is in the order of 100 kilobytes.
